Subterranean was a game created by a team of four in a Game Production class over the course of a semester. We went through the full production phase consisting of a vertical slice, alpha, beta, and the final game with presentations for each.
I contributed to the initial design phase and helped format and put together our Game Concept Document and presentation slide decks.
I was a programmer on this project. I began the project focused on implementing the basic game mechanics consisting of removing/collecting and spending/placing the pieces of the board. After this vertical slice, I switched my focus to learning how to implement online multiplayer into our game using Photon, and spent the rest of the semester doing so.
These are early recordings of the initial mechanics I implemented, allowing the player to remove pieces from one layer of the board, revealing the layer below.
